The BioSkills Center of Supreme Orthopedic Systems is in search of a Lab Services Specialist in the Columbia, Maryland area. The Assistant will be responsible for the following:

  • Lab Event Coordination
    • Provide technical support for surgical skills lab events
      • Ensure surgeon customers have all necessary tools and resources to facilitate a smooth and efficient lab experience
      • Contribute technical expertise to customers’ educational experience
    • Coordinate lab event logistics, including scheduling, supply procurement, and written communication
    • Skillfully manage coordination of multiple lab events with unique needs simultaneously
    • Act as liaison between Medical Education department, sales team, and surgeon customers
    • Fully facilitate Lab Event set up & breakdown for 2-6 events per week
    • Provide a high level of hospitality for all guests
  • BioSkills Center Facility Maintenance
    • Maintain all equipment associated with the BioSkills Training Center
    • Maintain inventory levels of consumable items
      • Anatomic specimens
      • Cleaning Supplies
      • Personal Protective Equipment
      • Lab samples
      • Training Demos
      • Printed Literature
    • Maintain superior cleanliness of the entire lab space, including surfaces, equipment, instrumentation, and linens
  • Additional Responsibilities including but not limited to:
    • Attend weekly planning meetings
    • Assist in event planning and support for all educational events
    • Provide support to sales team for education-related needs
  • Complete 6-month online training program to learn all relevant products and procedures that will be used in the lab
    • Become a subject matter expert on related orthopedic surgery products & procedures in order to successfully manage both training events and the lab facility

Necessary Skills:

  • Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills
  • Detail Oriented and organized
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure with a positive attitude
  • Ability to multitask
  • Ability to adapt and be flexible as situations or processes change
  • Basic computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Drive
  • Strong desire and ability to self-educate around the topics we train on in our lab


  • Customer Service experience preferred
  • Science/medical/education background preferred
  • Knowledge of human anatomy is a plus
  • No lab specific experience required – on the job training will be provided

Job location:

Columbia, MD


35-40+ hours per week including some evenings and weekends
